I’ve hi-jacked the term ‘Edge City’ for my humble little collection of photos from mini-adventures at the margins of the city. The photos are presented in a non-linear way, with little supporting information, or dates.
There are many incredible exploring sites, this isn’t one of them. People who do it much better include Ben Cooper who has written a compelling justification for the imperative to explore, and Bradley Garrett a psycho-geographer for the 21st century. I’m in awe of the literary and photographic talents of Dsankt and Siologen who I first encountered through BLDGBLOG, and I really appreciate the efforts of those who document their adventures in a way that inspires, especially Snappel, Speed & Zero.
Thanks to all my companions, especially Collingwood, Styru, Spungletrumpet, Paul and all the others I’ve met – including those that have voluntarily or otherwise stepped out of the 28DL community – we’ve shared some good times, and here’s to many more.
