The former Debenham’s building is the tallest in Exeter’s city centre and has lain empty and impregnable for a few years. Now it’s being converted to a John Lewis an opportunity arose to check the view from the top.
This one goes out to Land Securities who have been systematically buying up and privatizing public space in the city with the blessing of the Council.
I also wanted to wave goodbye from a rooftop to psycho-geographer Bradley L Garrett who is leaving London to write up his doctorate. Brad’s done more than anyone else to try and make sense of what we do from an academic viewpoint. Hopefully we didn’t make it too easy!
